Good. Then you will understand where I'm coming from
with regards to what I write in this letter about my
ebook, 'Ode To The Fanatical Golfer'.
I want to take you on a journey.
Not to some far off land, Nor to the depths of space.
But into the human mind. (The mind of the obsessed golfer
in particular).
In 98 pages of golf poetry we will attempt to expose what I
consider to be an ´ODDITY´ in the world of sports humor.
(I chose that style of writing because I've always seen golf
as sport with great style and charisma).
Fellow golf enthusiasts my name is Kevin D.
Rolle, and you might be scratching your head as to WHY
I´ve named my ebook what I did.
Well...It´s very simple.......
We all know that there are 'normal'/average golf enthusiasts out there.
Then there are those of us......
...IN THE FANATICAL ZOOONNEEeeee..!!
Where the game of golf seems to have become an
OBSESSION for many players. (Both around the
world,....and maybe even in your own neighborhood or golf
club).
It´s a satirical look at this phenomenon. An ebook dedicated
to exposing it.
But let me stress that this is just a sports ebook focusing
on clean jokes about golf. (Harmless funny sayings). Not
meant to insult/offend anyone in any way.
What this ebook is NOT, is a way to improve
your game with golf tips on training. It is NOT a
guide to purchasing sports equipment like golf balls, golf clubs nor
finding the perfect golf courses around the world.
No golf instruction of any sort to be found. I´m NOT a golf pro
that can offer you tips and tricks and pointers.There are many
excellent sites on the Web for those things.
Just funny poetry about golf here.
I´m just someone who likes the game. But more importantly,
I´m someone who is fascinated by the
humorous culture that surrounds this sport we call golf.
To witness it is like watching a golf cartoon or pure
comedy.
Like no other game I know of or play, it never ceases
to amaze me how golf seems to absorb those who play it...
until it enfuses and touches virtually every part of of their lives.
The lengths to which golfers will go to improve their
game is mind-boggling! Any book or magazine or new
equipment or video...any snippet of information that we
think will give us an edge.......
"WE´VE GOT TO HAVE IT!!!!"
(Er,....pardon me. Got a bit carried away there).
Now you know WHY I call it...
"Ode To The Fanatical Golfer"
It´s the place where the obsession of the golfer´s mind
is exposed. For those who don´t play, they seem to think the
game is boring. (But we know better, don't we?)
I am also an artist...(though some may disagree).
What I try to do here, is take a look at this golf humor
phenomenon from many different perspectives, condense
the ideas, and present them through golf poetry for
your enjoyment. (It´s good to be able to laugh at ourselves
every now and then).
